Summary:
After Giella's first encounter with Vincente, they became good friends, but soon, love began to blossom between them. Giotto had noticed changes in Vincente, from a shy boy to a much more open type of person. Alaude also took notice on how Giella gets along well with Vincente and decided to promote Vincente as his vice. But the other members were jealous, so they decided to go against Alaude and expose Vincente's relationship with Giella to Giotto.

+CHAPTER TWO+
=A Sincere Confession=
************************************
"Buongiorno, Giella." Giotto sat down beside Giella on the bench in the front courtyard. Giella had been there reading her novel since half an hour ago.
"Oh, buongiorno, brother." Giella closed her novel and gave a smile to her brother. Ever since the Vongola family was formed three months ago, both of them barely had the time to sit down and have a nice long chat with each other. But it's amazing that the both of them still managed to maintain their close sibling relationship.
"Oh, you're reading the novel G. gave to you." Giotto noticed the title of the novel, "La Scelta". It was the novel G. had given to Giella recently.
"Yup. It's nice~ G. does have a good taste for literature. Real rare for someone like him to have a liking for literature." Giella laughed. G. is like her brother too, since he's so devoted to Giotto. In fact, Asari, Knuckles, Lampo and Alaude seemed like her own brother. She wasn't too sure about Demon Spade though since he treats her a little too nice.
"Arisa will be leaving for Japan after two days with Asari since there's no problem going around nowadays." Giotto informed Giella and stared into the sky.
"Oh, yea...in two more days...daahhh~ I don't know how long will it be before I'll be seeing her again..." Giella sighed long.
"Don't worry. I'm sure she'll be back soon, okay?" Giotto gave her his convincing smile. He just never fails to convince her.
"Okay!!" Giella hugged Giotto. "Oh, I'm going to see Vincente today, so I won't be joining you for the afternoon. Can I? But don't worry, I'll be back in time for the meeting." Giella said excitedly.
"Vincente? Oh, Alaude's underling who saved you last month when you were harrassed during the gala dinner?"
"Yes, that Vincente. Vincente Catena."
"Okay then. But don't be late, okay? G. would be mad if you're late."
"Ahh, right...I forgot all about him....okay, don't worry tell him I'll surely be there in time, okay? Since he only listens to you."
"Sure thing. A promise is a promise, okay? And take care of yourself. Alaude would kill Vincente if you come back with even a small scratch on somewhere out of reach." Giotto reminded.
"Okay, sure thing. Grazie!!" Giella gave a kiss on Giotto's cheeks before she called out for her horse who was grazing on the grass since she was there that morning. Giella turned to wave at Giotto before disappearing from his sight.
Giotto sat back down on the bench and sighed long. He has been observing on how Giella was getting along with the usually shy Vincente. The freakishingly handsome Vincente had recently become the gossip among the female workers in the Vongola manor ever since his heroic act in his attempt to protect Giella last month. If he was not wrong, he could even see sparks fly whenever they were together. "I see...something in him...something more than just a Cloud flame wielder....he...has more than just that...."
"She's out again, huh? That girl is really something." G. came out of a corner and popped a cigarette into his mouth. "Both of them may be in a secret relationship that we don't know." he sat down beside Giotto and lighted his cigarette.
"Luckily she's not here, or she'll pour water on your cigarette." Giotto joked.
"Fuc- ah, who cares....what's more important is that she may be into him and we don't know it."
"G.. She's my sister, and if I can't take care of her properly, our late parents would be mad. Controlling her in every matter would just make our relationship crumble. I don't want her to hate me, moreover she's still in a sensitive zone after our parents' death last year. If I do anything that will hurt her, then I'd rather step down from my duty as the boss of Vongola." Giotto sounded serious and sincere. It was true. Giella is still sensitive on her feelings after their parents' death and she could easily go back down into depression if anyone were to hurt her badly.
"Primo...but...you know how Alaude won't like the way she's acting."
"Alaude knows her like the way I know her. He knows how to handle her." his voice sounded confident, showing how much faith he has in Alaude to take care of Giella. Alaude may be a scary persom to some people, but not to Giella nor Giotto. He may be quite ignorant about his position as the Cloud Guardian, but he respects Giotto greatly.
"Primo...I wanna ask...Giella..has she been in love with anyone before...?"
"Why, no...not yet...most of the guys who come chasing after her is afraid of us, and even if they aren't, Giella couldn't be more happier to reject each and everyone of them."
"Then, do you have anything to say about Giella and Vincente?"
"Look, G., if you like my sister, just say so." Giotto laughed.
"W-what?? Me?? L-like Giella?? H-heck no!!!!!!!"
"Hmph. You couldn't be more dumb, can't you?" Alaude walked towards them and leaned against a tree beside the bench. "Giella knows who is suitable for her, so stop poking your nose into her life, or I'll bite you to death."
"Hah, you don't scare me~" G. said proudly.
"Say that again?" Alaude challenged him.
"Okay, can we not start a riot here? I don't...think it's a right time for it now...." Giotto tried to calm them down.
"Ciahh...forgive me, Primo." G. bowed politely to Giotto. Alaude just smirked and left the spot. "I'll be off now."
"Hmph." G. just smirked.
"G., calm down. Let him be. As I said, besides me, the only person who knows Giella better than anyone else is Alaude." Giotto patted G.'s shoulders.
"Hur......why do I always have to surrender myself to Mr.Gloomy...." G. smirked with dissatisfaction. Clear enough why he hates other guardians except Giotto and himself.
"Well, let's just say that...we don't wanna have a world war in here." Giotto patted G.'s shoulders before walking away.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The snow white horse strutted down the stone pathway of the massive garden that surrounded the Vongola manor. The rider of the horse scanned through the vast gardens for the person who is supposed to meet up with her. Her long white-gold dress hung over the horse's back loosely. Her yellow blonde hair was decorated with a strand of pearls and crystals that sparkle under the morning sunlight. She pulled the strap tied to the horse's snout indicating it to stop and got off it. She slowly walked as she pulled her horse behind her, still searching for the person who was supposed to meet her.
"Still no sign of him...where is he...?" She whispered silently to herself. Suddenly someone wrapped around her waist and breathed warm air into her ears. She was startled and nearly tripped over the foot of the mysterious person behind her, but a pair of hands caught her in time before she tipped over. Just in time, she got to see the face of the person who caught her -- Vincente, with his eyes staring back into hers.
Vincente laughed kindly and let her sit on the cool green grass below them. "You are so delicate, you know that? Any injuries during your hang-out time with me will result in my early death." Vincente joked.
One look at Vincente's porcelain fair skin and irresistable charm sent red hot blush across her cheeks. She just looked away to avoid Vincente from catching her blushing. "Uhh...yea...Alaude would...uhh...you know...but I think...if I explain to him...then nothing will happen....." Giella stuttered out her words. She felt her hearting beating faster than normal and it felt as if it was going to jump out from her at anytime.
"Oh, are you sure...? Alaude won't let me go easily, I'm afraid. He cares about you more than he cares about his underlings. You know that, right..." Vincente sat beside her and spreaded out his hands behind him while he admired the beautiful morning sky.
Giella suddenly had the guts to stare back at him now. The red blush on her face slowly began to fade as she heard the sentence that he said. "Not necessarily...." Giella sat next to him and hugged her knees close to her chest. "He could be cruel and cold-blooded sometimes...but most of the time, people don't see the good side of him...the side of Alaude which I always see...yes, he is brutal to people other than my brother and I...but...I really wish everyone could see how good he can be..." Giella smiled to herself as she reviewed on her personal bodyguard. Alaude had been together with her for nearly seven years since he came in contact with Giella and Giotto. Little did she know she would end up being protected by him.
"Alaude...I don't know how to describe him well...but I can see over these times how close is he to you...and how he devotes his life to you to keep you safe from harm..." He said without turning to look at Giella, but he knew she was listening close.
"Listen...about Alaude...you seriously don't have to worry...I can handle him...he only listens to Giotto and I in this type of case...but...all I can say is that I doubt I can stop him from doing what he..wants to do....you know...bash people up..." Giella tried to convince Vincente, which worked actually. Vincente took hold of her right and gave a kiss on it, indicating "Yes".
"It doesn't matter or not if he wants to bash me up, I will do whatever it takes to get to your heart..." Vincente held her hand close to his chin lovingly, not intending to let it go until she gets the message he was trying to tell her. He looked into her eyes long and deep, making her heart throb with anxiety.
Giella watches her hand being held safely in the grip of Vincente. She couldn't help but feeling her heart being surrendered slowly to him. She felt a spark being set off some where in her. She felt the res hot blush up her cheeks again. Her heart was racing faster than it ever did. This is it. He's going to say it to me, she told herself. Giella froze in her position, breathing a little bit faster than usual. She wasn't really sure whether it was caused by the humid morning air or by the racing pace of her heart.
"I...I want to be the one...who will stay by your side....protecting you from danger...keeping you safe from anything or anyone who tries to harm you...I want to be the one to protect your heart...keeping it safe from hurt by other peoplw who doesn't love you whole-heartedly...I want to be with you...because, sooner or later...you will be owned by someone else....and I don't want you to be owned by someone else...especially those guys who only wants you for your body and not for who you are...." Vincente's voice sounded shaky but convincing.
"Vincente...."
"Giella... I-I want to tell you t-that....I-I love...you.... so...." Vincente leaned closer to Giella and whispered the next sentence into her ears. The sentence that he whispered to her made her shocked, but never happier. It took her quite a while before she nodded her head gently with full of smiles.
"Thank you, Giella.... thank you..." he stared into her eyes again, before touching her lips with hers. Their first kiss. In the middle of the Vongola manor garden. The sweet morning marked the beginnning of Giella's love life with Vincente.
"Uhm...then...I have another request....." Vincente asked in a tone so slow that Giella could barely hear it.
"What is it...?"
And some where not far from Giella and Vincente, someone was watching them intensely and silently from the shadows of the trees, with a growing hatred filling him ever so quickly. His face was covered by the shadow of the trees, so his real image can't be seen. "Someone has owned the Boss's sister's precious heart... but that someone is him.... this can't be forgiven...." His voice sounded very stern. And while the romantic kiss between Giella and Vincente continued, the guy under the shadows of the trees marched back to the Vongola manor, ready to report what he had just seen....
----------------------------------------------------------------
The pitch black surrounding at night made it hard for Giella to walk through the hallways of the Vongola manor. By the time she managed to reach the back door, more than half an hour had passed by. She tip-toed across the backyard and to a flower bush just a couple of meters from the last corner she's went through.
"Eh...? Where is Vincente...? He asked me to meet him here..... more than half an hour for me to reach here, he should be here somewhere...why isn't he here...?" Giella stopped her pace and looked around. The place was dead silent. Moreover it was very dark that all she saw were the shadows of the bushes and the trees around her. The air was still and damp. Her hands were beginning to feel cold.
As she continued to search for Vincente high and low, she heard the sound of leaves rustling in midst of one of the bush. With curiousity, she slowly walked closer to the specific bush to find out who or what was behind the bushes.
And to her surprise, she found the person whom she was searching for at that night, but not in the condition that she'd expect to witness............
