Timeline: Present days
Summary: A normal day in the Cavallone mansion turns upside down when Iratella is confronted by Dino's childhood playmate, Yumizo Koruzaki. When Yumizo challenges Iratella to the game of the mafia-style "Tag", Iratella finds that Yumizo is no ordinary mafia girl, but someone from the family who would very much love to destroy the Catena family. To be sure of her answer, she would have to risk herself into joining the dangerous racing game across Italy and making sure the safety of her family from Yumizo's hands.
Authoress's foreword: Hehe, this is just another side story before I begin with the first chapter of the Catena family Inheritance battle Arc~huhu, I'm amazed on how the story developed from just a random roleplaying in Facebook between my friend Candace Yumizo and I. From what I see, it kinda became interesting because Yumizo, the Sky ring holder of the family that Iratella never knew, suddenly appeared in front of Iratella and told her that she was Dino's childhood playmate. Anyways, I think the story will be advancing pretty slow as we've only began barely one and a half hours ago and now that Yumizo's asleep~ehehehhh~
The language might be a little broken as this was just a random and non-official role-playing. Notice the difference in sentence structure in between some parts? Hehe, you should know which one is mine if you are a constant reader of my fanfics~

Yumizo roams into the Cavallone's HQ aimlessly, looking for an opportunity to create a ruckus in the mansion, sending Dino's subordinates to a trip to the hot springs and setting up obstacles around the hallway having high hopes that the careless boss would trip over and make a fall without his subbordinates around him. She stood at a corner, admiring her perfect plan, having an evil smirk on her face as she mumbled "Kekeke~ He'll never survive today if no one's here to protect him~"

The warm morning sun shines over the sky, casting its beautiful glow on the young girl who just stepped out from the metallic black Lamborghini car. Together with the mafia girl was the Vongola Cloud Guardian, looking as serious as usual.
Iratella pushed the metal-framed wooden door and walk into the Cavallone mansion as she usually does. No one would mind anyway since she's the precious gem of the Cavallone decimo. As she paced through the hallways as usual, suddenly she felt something was amiss. It didn't took long for her to notice the unusual extreme silence in the mansion.
"Are you sure you were supposed to see Dino today? Coz I personally don't think he's here today~you know that bucking bronco, he's always out and about~" Hibari smirked impatiently as he crossed his arms on his chest.
"Yes, I'm VERY VERY VERY VERY SURE!!! Romario called me just this morning, saying that Dino wants to see me at noon~" Iratella's sight wandered around the place. "Hmm.....but where did everyone go...?" she continues to walk down the carpeted hall way when she noticed someone walking around upstairs.
Footsteps and chatter were heard. Yumizo raised a brow, in her thoughts, "What the- I remembered sending EVERYONE in the mansion even the chef to a vacation...must be my imagination..." To make things clear, she tip toed and hid her self behind a pillar near the grand staircase that was nicely cleaned and decorated with a blood red carpet. She saw two figures. Her eyes widened and moved her head back behind the pillar, trying to hide her small body as much as possible "Darn it~ Who are those two idiots? Spoiling my perfect comedy movie~" She cursed beneath her breath, panicking, looking for a perfect plan to escape.
"What was that...?" Iratella stopped her pace as she reached the grand staircase area. She scanned through the place carefully, not wanting to miss out any detail. The whole place was dead silent and only the sound of the skylark and the girl's breathing could be heard. The tapping sound of her shoes and the scruffling sound of her dress echoed across the place as she walked step by step across the room.
Hibari followed behind her and got his senses working as well. His eyes caught a movement behind one of the pillars upstairs. In less than a second, his tonfas were already in his hands and stood in front of Iratella to protect her in case of any harm. "Someone's up there."
Iratella's eyes trailed upwards to the pillar which Hibari mentioned, and saw the shadow of a person behind the pillar. "Who is it...?"
Yumizo noticed the alert, she knew it that when she's nervous, its a game over for her. It was, almost. She made a ran, not caring what would happen to her, being smashed, beated up or even biten to death. She knew she still had some time left to run, since the black head guy, supposing a cloud ring holder was protecting someone instead of chasing after her. She ran all she could, the hallways were spacious and long. She was still cursing while running. She should've find a way to block the entrance of the main door. She wasn't expecting visitors, at least, not ones that can fight.
Hibari wanted to give a chase to the person who ran away from behind the pillar, but Iratella patted his shoulder and shook her head. "If he or she were to fight us, they would've attacked just now. Just wait." Hibari stared at her for a moment before obeying her orders.
"Ah, Iratella!! You're here!!" the familiar voice that Iratella loved came from behind them. The Cavallone decimo walked towards them with the usual playful smile on his face.
"Dino!!!" Iratella quickly ran into Dino's arms and hugged him tight. Hibari followed behind her like an obedient dog.
Dino wrapped his hands around her and hugged her tight as well. He saw the grumpy Cloud Guardian and just smiled at him. "How's it goin, Kyoya?" Instead of getting and answer, Hibari just ignored him completely.
Dino gave a kiss on her forehead before asking a question which everyone was thinking about. "Hey...do you know where did everyone go? The whole mansion was quiet the whole morning..." The three of them looked at each other with confusion.
Yumizo heard the cheerful sound of Dino. She rolled her eyes, getting annoyed of her thoughts of a happy and loving couple. She noticed she was running for nothing, she stopped her runaway plan and placed her fingers below her chin.
She was taking deep breaths, she was suppose to be full of anger for running like hell back then for nothing. Though, she wasn't. She smirked, "Game over? ie.." she chuckled, "lets play a new game...Dino..nii" her chuckles were louder this time. She walked back to the staircase slowly. "Ohayo~ gouzaimasu~ Dino~nii. Let's play a game, ishhouni?" Yumizo smiled, as if nothing's going to happen during the game.
The trio turned their heads to the grand staircase simultaneously. There stood the young Yumizo, smiling at them ever so gleefully. Dino sensed something amiss with the way Yumizo was acting. And Hibari just felt more annoyed than usual. Iratella was rather confused, not knowing the identity of the mysterious girl standing before them.
"What game?" Dino asked with a tone no less louder than a whisper.
Yumizo continued smiling. "A trip to hell." her smile then turned to a grin. Yumizo's acting skills were good, good enough to trick Vongola Primo, Giotto into believing that she kidnapped his little Tsunayoshi~san and was able to toy around Giotto. Though, Dino wasn't bad either, he knew Yumizo since young, they both use to play tag together with the rest of the other kids in town...until now...they still do it. The two won't seem to grown bored of the game 'tag' since it involves the whole Italy. Their tag is a kind of tag that no one would dare to play, since you don't move around with your legs but instead, Ferrari's are their vehicles.
Speeding in the roads of Italy really gets the police officers pissed out at them though, what can the polices do? The two are mafia bosses, both famous and important human beings in Italy.
Yumizo noticed a young lady next to her blonde childhood friend, Dino, which she refers as her non blood related brother as she is an only child in her noble family. She raised a brow, "first...who are you...miss?" She then noticed the cloud ring holder. "AHA~! NOW I GOT A CLOSER LOOK AT YOUUU....YOU'RE THE HIBARI THAT ALWAYS SCARES TUNA~CHAN NEHH?"
Hibari stood guard in front of Iratella with the tonfas in his hands. "If so, what can you do about it? It's not like you can beat me anyway."
Dino stood in front of both the skylark and his girlfriend. "Ahh...this girl is the Lightning Guardian of the DeVastella family...and also the daughter of the royal mafia family, Catena family desu...." Iratella bowed slightly, not wanting to show any sign of disrespect towards the young girl who seems uneasy with her presence in the Cavallone mansion.
Yumizo walked down the stairs, she wanted to bash that Hibari, though trying to hold her anger down and keep her smile up.
She then turned to look at the young lady that stood next to Dino. She was a smart one, Yumizo could sense it, she wa...s the only reason why Hibari didn't go after her. She curtsy towards the lightning guardian. "Nice to meet you, Koruzaki Yumizo desu~ Sky ring holder of the Volitaire family. Please, you don't have to be so formal with me. Your name?"
Iratella was startled to hear the name of a mafia family she never knew existed. Moreover, it was the Sky ring holder of the mysterious family that she's talking to. She kinda panicked a little, but she tried to keep her cool. "N-nice to meet you...Iratella Catena desu...Lightning guardian of the DeVastella family and the heir of the Catena family..." Her intense silverish-grey eyes stared into Yumizo's. She could feel that this young girl has a pretty strong potential powers. One that shouldn't be underestimated.
Dino noticed the change in Iratella's expression, but he dared not question her as he knows that Iratella's answers will hurt Yumizo. He also doesn't want to question Yumizo's purpose of being in the mansion without his knowing. He doesn't want to be too sure, but he could feel that something will happen really soon.
Yumizo noticed Iratella's ...change of expressions as well, not to mention, also noticing that Iratella's change of expressions were already seen by Dino, he might be a klutz but he is pretty alert about his surroundings.
"Nice to meet you, Iratella~chan. Would you like to join my little game as well?" She tilted her head to one side and made a puppy face. She then took a glance of the hard-headed Hibari and thought of something better. She couldn't resist letting out a silent chuckle, one that would scare someone to death in an empty, cold and dark room. "Since...it's a game...played by me here...we should get more players and this game will involve, Italy and Japan."
She started laughing again, she then placed her right hand into her pocket, taking out a little sparkly metal thing, supposing, a ring? The ring was glowing, all seven colours of the rainbow, all seven colours that represents each element to form a perfect mafia family, Sky, Sun, Lightning, Cloud, Rain, Storm and lastly, the one that moves withing illusions, the Mist.
Iratella's heart nearly skipped a beat when she heard that the game was involving Italy and Japan. How big is the game going to be? She thought to herself. Cold shiver ran up her spine when she heard Yumizo's laugh. But nothing makes her even more startled than the sight of the ring in Yumizo's hand that was emitting all the seven flames. Iratella was pretty sure something like this might have happened, but she didn't expected it to be THIS. Someone with a ring which can make its user wield all the seven flames. Hibari just became more annoyed with Yumizo's arrogance in his eyes and felt like biting her to death even more. Being someone who can read people's mind, Iratella held Hibari's hand, indicating him not to over react.
Yumizo took her phone out of her pocket, dialled a number and walked aside. She was whispering softly since she doesn't want the game to be over so fast. "Hello~ Reborn~ Do me a favour onegai~ Force Tsuna, Giotto and hi...s guardians following by Bianchi, Kyoko, Haru and I-pin to the Cavallone's HQ. Tell them that I'm going to play a little game of tag with them." Only hearing a 'heh' as a reply and the line died off, she knew the little arcabaleno's 'heh' ends with a smirk, Reborn was, too her tutor when she was dragged into the mafia world that was filled with gory, bloodshed, dirty money and lots of sacrifices.
She sensed that the Cloud ring holder of the young Vongola Decimo's action was being stopped by Iratella. Eventhough being a lightning guardian, Yumizo knew that she shouldn't underestimate her. She is being guarded by a cold looking cloud ring holder that gets annoyed by practically everything around him and not to mention, the klutz that was actually being trained by Reborn, Dino Cavallone, Cavallone decimo.
She then walked back to where Dino, Iratella and Hibari stood, her smile was back on, though it didn't have any sinister feeling coming from it. Her smile was the usual smile she had when she's around her close friends. "Ano...I called Tsuna and Giotto folowing by their guardians and some of Tsuna's friends to come play tag with us." she was going to take a seat at the sofa she spotted around few steps from where she stood though, before she did it, she turned to look at the young and pretty lightning guardian, "Etto~ I don't have any family members, so that pretty much explains why all seven flames are connected to my sky ring...which is pretty much, a remade version since...I smashed all the other six rings to remake one new sky ring with a better resolve." She smiled and walked over to the couch.
"Smash all the other six rings to make a new Sky ring....? Is that even legal...?" Iratella eyes widened with surprise. She had never heard something like this ever in the history of mafia. There are so many other bloody and inexplaianble ...situations that have happened before ever since the Vongola was formed over 400 years ago, but never did she heard about anyone destroying the rings of all the other flames and merging them with the current Sky ring to create a new Sky ring which emits all seven flames. This is definitely not someone to be underestimated. Her sight followed Yumizo until Yumizo took her seat on the couch. "Why...? Why smash the other rings when you can find people to become your guardians...?" Iratella really wanted to know why. Yumizo sure is a sly girl, and it seems that there is more to what she is telling to her now.
'Was she talking to me in that normal and not formal tone?' Yumizo thought for a moment before sitting back up and to turn her head so that she could see Iratella that seems, pretty much, confused. Yumizo hesitated to answer that question ...since no, it wasn't legal. She kept it a secret from most of the other hitmans that ever existed in this gory world. Sure, it was hard to keep it a secret from them so she made it clear, if an enemy or spy were to spot her modified and upgraded sky ring, the next place the person will be in is hell where they'll meet Mukuro~sama near the gateway to hell.
She walked towards the confused girl, she moved her head near to ears, real near and whispered something only Iratella and Yumizo was able to hear. Eventhough standing right next to Iratella, the blonde head Dino couldn't hear what Yumizo whispered into Iratella's ears as well so talk about Hibari, that was pretty much a few inches away from the three.
"No, it's not legal, so whoever that finds out about this will seek death soon." she chuckled softly though she then added in, "exceptional for friends of course, if you really want to know why didn't I gather friends to be the guardians of the other 6 rings and of course, what's my true relationship with Dino is...WIN me in the game of tag."
Yumizo then stepped back and ran towards the main door as she heard the door bell rang. She opened the door, seeing a bunch of familiar faces." Giotto~nii~ Tuna~chan Tako~head MINNA~ welcome to Cavallone HQ~" Yumizo greeted everyone with a cheerful smile on her face, acting as if she owns the Cavallone HQ. She then went over and gave Giotto a hug "Giotto~niii~ I missed you soooo muchh ♥ " She started to put out a puppy face.
As she sees Yumizo walk towards the door, Iratella's flood gates nearly burst opened when she reacalled the phrase "What's my true relationship with Dino". Iratella clearly recalls that he had never mentioned to her anything about a girl named Yumizo or anything about the Volitaire familiy. She was beginning to feel a little jealous to know that Dino had another girl by his side all along when he specifically and officially proclaimed her as his girlfriend. "Win you...in the game of tag...? She's making me sound as if I won't win in this game...." Iratella told to herself.
"Are you okay, Iratella...?" Dino patted her shoulders as he asked his question.
Iratella, feeling all depressed with the unknown reality, turned her head away from him and pushed his hand away from her shoulders. She walked over to Hibari and held onto his right sleeve.
Hibari immediately placed both his hands onto Iratella's shoulders as she reached to him. He turned to Dino and gave his death stare at him. Dino could not feel any more guilty for something he didn't knew that he's done.
"Catena decimo..." Giotto's voice rung across the room, addressing young Iratella. Giotto looked at the young girl whose external features and personalities resemble very much to his younger sister, Giella. And like Giella, whenever she's having a problem, he would sense it.
Iratella's hands were shaking unknowingly. To avoid from letting Yumizo know that she's in a depressed mode. she hid one hand in her coat pocket and another behind Hibari. She ignored Giotto's call for her and continued to think about the question that has been running through her head.
"OKAY~ SINCE EVERYONE'S HERE...LET'S START THE GAME!~ Ettoooo~....etttoooooo~....split into a few groups....yeah~ Hmm let's see. Gio~! You're in my side....get it.." Yumizo made a puffed up face causing the blonde to chuckle and then she continued the arrangements, maybe not much of a perfect arrangement though..."Gio's on my side...and I'll be runing...THE REST OF YOU~!!! You...pick your own partners kay. One group and only consist a maximum of 4 people and a minimum of 2 people." Yumizo purposely said the amount of minimum players in each group loudly into Hibari's ears to get him angry as usual since, according to Reborn's report about the Vongola Decimo that was sent to Giotto's office, Yumizo found out that Hibari HATES crowds though he has some sort of love towards animals like his box weapon and Hibird but sadly, not to the annoying cow, Lambo.
Yumizo chatted with Giotto, Asari and G happily in one corner while waiting for the rest to pick their group members. Yumizo's mouth somehow slipped, she accidently told Giotto, Asari and G about the whole reason about why she decided to play this game. The 3 actually found it quite fun to toy around some clueless people so they decided to keep Yumizo's secret shut as well.
Iratella turned to look at the skylark and the Cavallone decimo. The look in her eyes clearly shows that she wants them to be with her. Hibari, who had been a personal guardian to Iratella since before, followed her without needing to have her to say a word. Dino too, want to stay by his girlfriend. But Yumizo is now part of what he has to consider before making any decisions now. Dino touched her hand and held onto it, hoping that Iratella would say something or tell him why she is feeling upset. Iratella didn't make any respond to it. Instead, she stays quiet.
"If the Vongola Cloud Decimo guardian can take care of her, then why you, as her lover, can't do so, Cavallone Decimo?" Alaude walked over to the trio just to escape from the over crowding on the other side of the room. Iratella's spirit came back when she saw the Vongola Cloud Primo guardian approaching her. It was then when she held onto the hands of both Dino and Hibari.
"Catena Decimo...if Primo doesn't even care about you while you are in this situation, do you think you can get through this? The Volitaire family is not an ordinary family. And their Decimo boss, Yumizo, is no ordinary girl as well. She is hiding something from all of us, but it seems that Primo is just too blinded to notice that you are the one being victimised here." Alaude watched Iratella as her expression changed from blank to slightly gloomy. But soon, she became somewhat confident in her next decision.
"If winning over her in this game is what it takes to make her spill the truth on whatever she's hiding from us, then I will win no matter what it'll cost. It'll just have to depend on whether the others would also be blinded by her illusions..." Iratella's voice trailed off. She turned to look at Yumizo who was busy laughing and chatting with Giotto, Asari and G. With a strong resolution in her heart, she closed her eyes and held onto her gold bracelet as she wished for her victory in this tag game for the sake of everyone's safety.
